FAVORITE PLACES

As you may know from reading our previous posts, we love trails! One of my personal favorite greenway trails is in Cary, NC (which is a short 15 minute drive away from our home in Raleigh.) Welcome to Swift Creek Greenway.Swift Creek connects to Stevens Nature Center at Hemlock Bluffs Nature Preserve, Symphony Lake Greenway, and other trails! So if you stay only on Swift Creek, it will take you a little over a mile. But if you want to venture on, you can see so much more! Hemlock Bluffs is another one of our favorite places so it’s pretty neat that these two connect together. This Greenway welcomes bikes, rollerblades, skateboardes, dogs, and more. You can walk to the Koka Booth Ampitheatre (which is connected to the greenway,) or Ritter Park. You’ll meet active folks from all walks of life on this path! It’s pretty scenic, so watch out for wildlife!One of my most favorite things about this trail is that it is the nation’s first greenway to be built completely with recycled products! It was constructed with recycled asphalt. The width of the trail is pretty wide and comfortable as you can see. We love living in an area that offers so much natural preservation coupled with everything a big city has to offer. We hope that you enjoyed this post and that everyone enjoys their Easter weekend!
